The first bridge-building competition organised by the American Society of Civil Engineers, as part of the Jordan University Chapter, took place at IAA on Saturday. Five teams from five schools planned, designed and constructed a bridge that can withstand the highest load. IAA’s youngest team, comprised of Grade 8 students - Maya Shaban, Haya Al Asali and Huda Salameh, constructed a strong bridge that held an additional 1kg load than their original bridge that won them first place at the IAA round! It was rewarding to see our students stretch their engineering skills and work together to design and build a stronger bridge.
