All applicants should have the following qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s/undergraduate degree with teaching emphasis or completion of a teacher preparation programme and/or a degree in an academic subject area from a recognized institution or Board as required by the position
  • Certification in teaching from a recognised institution and/or Board
  • Police clearance to work with children and in schools
  • Strong communication skills in the language/s of instruction
  • Good interpersonal skills in interacting with students, parents and staff
  • Ability to supervise students in non-classroom settings
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in education or subject related field
  • Experience in an internationally accredited school or national/state school in an English-speaking country
  • Experience and certification in teaching the school programmes
  • Strong communication skills in English (when not the language of instruction)

The International Academy Amman – IAA is looking for a “Systems Analyst” to join our IT department. In this role you’ll be supporting end users with technical queries and assist the IT team in managing and maintaining critical systems as technology evolves, including cloud - SAAS. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role involves analyzing, documenting, monitoring, and supporting applications and platforms, such as ERP systems, HR systems, Educational systems and CRM. The Systems Analyst will collaborate with users to lead user meetings, observe system use, suggest process improvements, and ensure solutions meet requirements and quality expectations.

 

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Configuration and maintenance of systems to ensure optimal functionality and smooth operation
  • Managing student enrollments across various school-subscribed platforms
  • Analyze complex applications and recommend changes that address business issues and facilitate improvements.
  • Implement system changes, product deliverables and technical improvement initiatives.
  • Comprehensive analysis, understanding and interpretation of data, reporting and presenting information and insights to key stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, undertaking root-cause analysis with the assistance of the business owners to isolate causes of performance degradation.
  • Manage and monitor system maintenance and make recommendations for improvements to ensure system performance is optimal.
  • Provide timely support and troubleshooting for technical issues faced by students, teachers, and staff within education systems.
  • Prepare systems for the new academic year by setting up classes, assigning teachers, and updating academic calendars.
  • Collaborate with academic coordinators, teachers, and staff to address their needs and enhance SMS and LMS functionality.
  • Create detailed technical documentation, user manuals, and process guides
  • Assist with system upgrades and updates, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Ensure student records, reports, and transcripts are organized and updated in the LMS
  • Collaborate with the IT team to integrate SMS and LMS with other school systems, facilitating seamless data flow and enhancing functionality.
  • Generate reports and analytics from the systems, helping school administration monitor academic performance, attendance, and other key metrics

 

Qualification and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in IT
  • Technical or systems analysis experience
  • Background in supporting applications
  • Previous experience in completing backlog issue work and maintenance of applications
  • Be an exceptional communicator with strong customer service skills and a great problem-solving attitude.
