We are so proud of our budding engineers at IAA. Four groups of Grade 8 & 9 students have put in long hours planning, designing and constructing a bridge out of balsa wood that follows specific criteria. Last week, all four bridges were put to the test as the audience waited impatiently to see the bridge that can withstand the greatest load. It was a close race, but at the end only one bridge carried 6.2 Kg before it collapsed.
Congratulations to Haya Al Asali, Huda Salameh and Maya Shaban as they have now advanced to the next round, where they will once again put their bridge building skills to test as they compete against other schools in Amman. That competition is one organised by the Civil Engineering Students of the University of Jordan.
