We are proud of all students who participated in IAA's 2nd annual Bridge Building Competition. Four groups of G8/9 students have put in long hours planning, designing and constructing a bridge out of balsa wood that follows specific criteria. Last week, all bridges were put to the test as the audience witnessed the last bridge standing. Only one bridge was able to carry 13kg before collapsing on the cafeteria floor - that is 7kg more than last year's IAA record! Congratulations to Huda Salameh, Maya Shaban, Jon Shehu and Kenda Seadan as they have now advanced to the next round, where they will put their engineering skills to test as they compete against other schools in Amman. That competition is organised by the Civil Engineering Students of the Jordan University. Until next year IAA...remember there is an engineer in every one of us!
