This morning, the IAA secondary students were fascinated with airplanes and film-making. Two speakers, Gene de Marco from The Vintage Aviator Ltd. and David Wilks from Weta Workshop took the students on a journey of creativity, drama and determination to succeed. The students were exposed to behind the scenes work of Weta Workshop and their award-winning movies like Lord of The Rings, Avatar and The Hobbbit. De Marco, on the other hand, talked about his company"s aircraft restoration and the building of WW1 aircrafts, engines and propellers. What a ride!
