IAA & GSD Partnership
Monday, 16 October 2017

We are delighted to announce that the IAA and Gredos San Diego (GSD) from Madrid have formed a partnership agreement that will work on developing the sporting side for both entities. GSD is an educational institution that instils values based on respect for human dignity and promotes interest in the discovery and the study of both Science and Humanity.

Two elite coaches from GSD were handpicked to integrate their knowledge and expertise with ours, creating a more compact and efficient program. Coaches Roberto Navarro and Carlos Rooney are Spanish coaches who showed great enthusiasm to join our team in Amman. Roberto is a football coach with extensive background in coaching academies and clubs such as Juventus Academy. His education includes courses and majors in communication and coaching, sport psychology, sport management, as well as sciences of physical activity and sports. He coaches disabled children as well. Along with his experience in coaching clubs in Spain, he also played professionally with different teams, once of which was Roma C.F. (a direct affiliate of Real Madrid).

As for Carlos, he is the newest addition to our swimming coaching team and has achieved remarkable results such as coaching two swimmers to win eight medals in the championship of Catalonia and coaching a swimmer to win the silver medal in the championship of Spain. Carlos has extensive knowledge in swimming with coaching licenses that qualify him as an Olympic level coach. Carlos himself was a national team swimmer for more than 18 years.
