IAA"s Grade 10 students showcased their inspiring Personal Projects today. They had the chance to discuss their projects, answer questions from students, parents and staff members.

As part of Grade 4"s Entrepreneurship project, students developed creative thinking and enterprise skills to design, manufacture, market and sell a reusable shopping bag made from unwanted t-shirts.
Students made decisions and choices about product design and advertising as a team. The money raised will be donated to a local environmental charity.
Grade 9 students showcased their poetry and stories about their grandparents during today"s Arabic assembly, entitled "Ï╣Ï¿┘é Ϻ┘äÏúϼϻϺϻ” translating into "Our Grandparents" Accomplishments”, inspired by the late King Hussein bin Talal"s biography- My Profession as a King.
IAA grandparent, Prof. Marwan Kamal, inspired the audience with his childhood memories and stories of his own grandfather.
The IAA secondary students were fascinated with airplanes and film-making. Two speakers, Gene de Marco from The Vintage Aviator Ltd. and David Wilks from Weta Workshop took the students on a journey of creativity, drama and determination to succeed. The students were exposed to behind the scenes work of Weta Workshop and their award-winning movies like Lord of The Rings, Avatar and The Hobbbit. De Marco, on the other hand, talked about his company"s aircraft restoration and the building of WW1 aircrafts, engines and propellers. What a ride!
